Powdered herbs are most easily consumed in capsule form, but they can also be sprinkled on food or taken with water. For external use, they can be used as a dusting powder on the skin or mixed with tinctures to create poultices.
HOW TO MAKE HERBAL CAPSULES
To make herbal capsules at home you would need fine grade herbal powder, gelatin or vegetarian capsule cases. You can make capsules by pouring the powder into the capsule halves and sliding them together.
Each size 00 capsule holds around 250mg of powdered herb, and a standard dosage is 2-3 capsules twice a day. You should store the capsules in airtight, dark glass containers in a cool place for up to 3-4 months.
